Industrial and Logistics Leasing Surges 40%

News: India’s Industrial & Logistics (I&L) leasing surged 40% YoY in Q1 2025, reaching 12.1 million sq. ft. across the top 8 cities, per CBRE’s ‘India Market Monitor Q1 2025’ report.
Delhi-NCR led with 3.7 mn. sq. ft., followed by Hyderabad (1.9) and Bengaluru (1.7), collectively accounting for ~60% of total leasing. 3PL players led with 31% share, while e-commerce saw a 3x YoY growth, accounting for 28%.
Engineering & manufacturing, auto, and FMCG sectors also contributed significantly. New supply hit 12.4 mn. sq. ft., up 57% YoY, with Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai contributing 69%.
Robust demand, high-quality supply, and e-commerce growth are expected to fuel continued momentum throughout 2025.
