CBRE Report: Industrial Leasing Surges 48%
News: India’s Industrial & Logistics (I&L) sector experienced a 48% rise in leasing activity from July to September 2024, with total leasing reaching 11.4 million sq. ft. across the top eight cities, according to a CBRE report. Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, and Hyderabad led the surge, accounting for 65% of the volume.
Delhi-NCR topped with 3.4 million sq. ft., followed by Kolkata (2.4 million sq. ft.) and Hyderabad (1.7 million sq. ft.).
The 3PL sector held the largest share of leasing at 38%, with significant contributions from engineering, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and FMCG sectors. Total leasing from January to September reached 27.5 million sq. ft.
