Andhra Pradesh Poised to India-Logistics Powerhouse
News: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a bold plan to transform the state into India’s premier logistics hub, capitalizing on its 1,053-km coastline to lower logistics costs and drive industrial growth.
The strategy includes setting up an Aviation University, a Logistics University, and the AP Logistics Corporation, along with enhancing multi-modal connectivity via roads, railways, ports, airports, pipelines, and inland waterways.
Infrastructure expansion features four new ports and several airports, including Bhogapuram and a greenfield airport at Amaravati.
The state has secured ₹10 lakh crore in private investments from leading companies such as Kia, Google, and Reliance, generating 4.71 lakh jobs across various sectors.
Naidu envisions Andhra Pradesh as a $2.4 trillion economy with a skilled, knowledge-based workforce.
