Logistics & Industrial Leasing in India Surges

News: India’s logistics and industrial real estate sector recorded strong growth in H1 2025, with gross leasing rising 21.6% YoY to 30.7 MSF, 12.1% higher than H2 2024, per Cushman & Wakefield.
This marks the third consecutive year above 50 MSF and sets the stage to surpass 60 MSF by year-end.
Warehousing dominated with 21.9 MSF (71.3%), while industrial leasing hit 8.8 MSF.
Engineering & Manufacturing led demand at 9.7 MSF (32%), followed by 3PL (24%) and e-commerce, which jumped 158% YoY.
Mumbai topped city-level leasing at 7.0 MSF, while Ahmedabad posted the highest growth (192%).
With ~25 MSF Grade-A supply in the pipeline, rising manufacturing, and expanding e-commerce, the sector is set for sustained momentum.
