News: Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari said India’s logistics cost will fall below 10% by December 2025, boosting competitiveness with China (8%) and the U.S. (12%).

He highlighted the government’s push toward electric mobility, biofuels, ethanol blending, and hydrogen fuels, alongside rapid expansion of highways, ports, and multimodal hubs.

Speaking at the foundation of 27 road projects and inauguration of two others worth ₹5,235 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Gadkari stressed the role of strong infrastructure in driving development.

Key projects include a greenfield Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway and upgrades of major regional routes. He also emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s 1,000-km coastline, port development, and urged state leaders to address road safety concerns flagged in a ministry audit.
