E-Ways Covering 10,000 Km Under Construction
News: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that 25 greenfield expressways spanning 10,000 km are under construction nationwide at a cost of ₹6 lakh crore.
Speaking at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said road monetization could yield ₹15 lakh crore and highlighted that logistics costs have dropped from 16% to 10%, expected to reach 9% by December, boosting India’s competitiveness.
Gadkari also noted the automobile industry’s growth from ₹14 lakh crore to ₹22 lakh crore, employing 4 lakh people, and reaffirmed the goal to make India the world’s top automobile market while emphasizing the need to reduce fossil fuel dependence.
